Inquiries, support & follow-ups

FAQ auto-replies, WhatsApp, inquiry triage and outreach: what AI can handle and what must go to a person.

Most small-store support inboxes fill with the same few questions: where's my order, can I return this, what size should I get. AI handles that repetition well, provided you write your real policies into one reference doc first and tell it to answer only from that.

Keep a person approving drafts, especially on WhatsApp, where a wrong answer lands harder than in email. Upset customers, orders gone wrong and anything the doc doesn't cover go straight to a human. The same draft-then-approve rule applies to supplier replies, where prices and payment terms are at stake.

How do I stop AI from inventing return policies in support replies?

Write your shipping timelines, return rules and size chart into one shared doc before AI touches a customer message. Instruct the model to answer only from that doc and to say "let me check with the team" for anything missing. While you are starting out, have a person check every draft before it goes to the customer. Read more →

If you want website chat and AI answers live quickly with a small team, start with Tidio. Test either on your last 100 real conversations before deciding. Read more →

Can AI auto-reply on WhatsApp Business without a human?

Technically yes, inside the 24-hour window after a customer messages you. But WhatsApp reads like a real person chatting, so a wrong AI answer lands harder than it would in email. Unless your knowledge base coverage has been tested and holds up, keep a human confirming each draft. Outside the window you need a template Meta has already approved. Read more →
